Chinese Ford Bronco Enters the Market: All-Wheel-Drive Camper with Extensive Equipment

Sales have begun in China for the large five-seat Ford Bronco crossover, developed by the Jiangling Ford joint venture. It is offered as a pure electric or plug-in hybrid EREV model, with all-wheel drive standard. An optional camper version, the Bronco Basecamp, features a pop-up glass roof for sleeping space and a tailgate kitchen, with prices starting from 229,800 yuan.

SUV, Camper, and Pickup: Chery T1TP Prototype Premiered and Photographed

Chery has unveiled the T1TP prototype, a vehicle combining SUV, pickup, and camper functions. Its key feature is a modular architecture allowing rapid reconfiguration into a seven-seat SUV, cargo pickup, or camper with a pop-up tent. The concept uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 1.5L turbo engine and claims a range of up to 1,400 km. Series production is scheduled to begin in 2026.

Ford unveils electric Bronco with camping features for Chinese market

Ford has introduced an electric Bronco SUV in China, produced by its joint venture partner JMC. The vehicle, available for reservation with a 1,000 yuan deposit, features a 445 hp dual-motor setup, a 105.4 kWh LFP battery for up to 650 km of range, and an optional camping package with a powered pop-up roof. It is currently exclusive to the Chinese market, with official pricing and launch expected by year-end.
