Toyota Reveals Hydrogen-Powered Tacoma H2-Overlander Concept at SEMA 2025
Toyota presented a hydrogen fuel cell-powered overlanding concept vehicle at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The Tacoma H2-Overlander uses a modified Mirai fuel cell stack and three hydrogen tanks to produce 547 horsepower, offering an estimated range of 300-400 miles. Key features include a patent-pending water recovery system from the fuel cell's exhaust and a 15-kW power takeoff for off-grid electricity. The concept faces real-world constraints due to limited hydrogen refueling infrastructure, especially in remote areas.
