Calls for major driving licence change with over 200k affected

A petition is calling for UK driving licence rules to be aligned with a proposed EU change, allowing holders of a standard Category B licence to drive motorhomes up to 4,250kg instead of the current 3,500kg limit. The change, argued to benefit drivers of automatic models suitable for some with disabilities, would affect an estimated 290,000 vehicles. The petition requires 10,000 signatures for a government response and 100,000 to be considered for parliamentary debate.
