False Weight Specifications: Knaus Tabbert Pays Multi-Million Euro Fine
German motorhome manufacturer Knaus Tabbert AG has accepted a fine exceeding six million euros from the Stuttgart public prosecutor's office for falsely understating the weight of its vehicles. The issue centers on the 3.5-tonne limit for standard driver's licenses, a critical threshold for sales, as around 80% of customers buy motorhomes below this weight. The company has made financial provisions for the penalty and states the matter will be concluded upon payment in Q1 2026.
